Hazbin Hotel's Showrunner Has Seen Your Second Season Predictions — And She Has Good News

The much-anticipated Season 2 of the musical adult cartoon Hazbin Hotel arrives on the streaming platform this week, and audience theories has been intense.

The first season introduces a diverse group of characters residing in the afterlife, pits them against each other with songs about their clashes, and establishes heated competitions and angsty, affectionate connections that fuel audience devotion.

The community's expectations for season 2 vary widely, but certain threads emerge over and over: Could a fan-favorite character escape his tormentor? Will we find out more about the mysterious "deal" affecting Alastor the Radio Demon? Might certain characters' relationships evolve?

"Obviously, I don't make the show with fan service as the main goal," the creator stated earlier this year. "However I believe that me being a fan of my own show implies there's a lot of it just inherently. I also want to see these things, and I hope some of these things to happen, and obviously some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

She reveals her big-picture plan is for five seasons of Hazbin Hotel. Future installments have already been green-lit by the production companies, which produce the series.

That might mean fans have to wait years for some of the biggest payoffs — but they may be surprised at how fast the new season progresses, and how many of what they're waiting for unfolds now.

"I feel like people are going to get a lot out of it," the creator notes. "We get some firsts. I think we get some really amazing reveals, some really cool origin tales, and even basic elements, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] Audiences will experience much more singing from the previously silent cast members."

She's certainly aware of the theories and desires about the upcoming season — particularly in the format of fan bingo cards.

"I've come across a few fans create a bingo card about the new season," she says. "Naturally I won't share it, but I've already completed some of them, and almost all of them have almost a bingo. I thought, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that makes me think we do a lot [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I was like, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that brings me joy."

Hazbin Hotel season 2 premieres on Prime Video on October 29.
